Parallels Virtuozzo Virtualization Containers Powers Swyx SaaS Telephony Solution
Parallels Lending a Helping Hand

Parallels announced that Swyx Solutions has selected
Parallels Virtuozzo Containers 4.0 to deliver a cost-efficient and scalable
hosted PBX application via a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model.
Using Parallels software, Swyx delivered "Hosted
SwyxWare," a hosted solution based on its "SwyxWare"
telecommunications system for Microsoft Windows. Hosted SwyxWare combines
locally installed software components and virtual-PBX servers running in
Parallels Virtuozzo Containers, which helps businesses save money by replacing
or supplementing their conventional PBX solutions.
"Parallels Virtuozzo Containers 4.0 combined with our
automation software provide the ideal platform for companies like Swyx that are
looking to capitalize on the SaaS opportunity," said Serguei Beloussov,
CEO of Parallels. "The Hosted SwyxWare solution is another example of how
our SaaS enablement technologies are driving real business results for
independent software vendors (ISVs) and their customers."
Hosted SwyxWare scales from a single server to a
multi-server environment, which can support unlimited customers and be deployed
as a pre-built, pre-configured solution. Swyx customers can operate the
application the same as before, and can upgrade hardware or expand the base
system without reinstallation or downtime.

Swyx. “Parallels Virtuozzo Containers 4.0 offers our customers a next
generation telephony solution with Hosted SwyxWare.”
Parallels Virtuozzo Containers is an operating system (OS)
virtualization solution. On a single physical server and single OS
installation, it enables users to run workloads in multiple, simultaneously
running execution environments called “containers”. Compared to other
virtualization technologies, Parallels Virtuozzo Containers offers the highest
levels of density, performance and manageability.
